MAGWAI is a sustainable personal care company whose mission is to pioneer marine-friendly personal care products that allow consumers to switch to alternatives that are effective, accessible, and sustainable.

A key milestone in our journey was securing the DOST PCIEERD R&D grant. This funding enabled us to enhance our reef-safe sunscreen, addressing consumer concerns about white cast. Through Upscale, we were able to connect with UP Marine Science Institute, our testing partner in ensuring the safety of our sunscreen for marine life. Upscale’s network also led us to Accenture, who provided a grant for the production of the MAGWAI Conditioner Blend, further expanding our product portfolio.
